Younger looking fuller hands

Aging Hands

As we age, we lose volume in the hands. Aging hands with thinning skin and wrinkles are due to the skin’s loss of ability to renew once plentiful collagen and elastin.

Hands are one of the most "tell tale" signs of aging because of their extensive use and unprotected sun exposure. As we age, the back of the hands develop sun spots and the skin becomes thinner and loses plumpness and firmness, thus revealing tendons and joint protrusions.

If you want younger and more youthful hands, we have a solution.

PRP, by definition is platelets and plasma, where the platelet concentration is generally considered to be twice the normal. PRP should have little to no red blood cells and white blood cells. By adding the precise amount of calcium chloride, we convert the liquid PRP into PRFM, a gel-like matrix.

This occurs because the calcium chloride initiates the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin, as part of the clotting cascade.

Radiesse® Volumizer

Recently, the FDA approved Radiesse® for rejuvenation of the back of the hands. Radiesse® is an excellent filler to improve the appearance of the back of the hands. It's a very quick and almost pain-free procedure. As we age the skin thins, vessels and tendon are much more visible. Radiesse® is placed in the upper layer of the skin, away from vessels and tendon, in order to cover them. The hands appear smoother and much more youthful.

Chemical Peels

During a chemical peel procedure, a thin layer of chemical is applied to the skin for couple minutes before neutralizing.

Depending on the amount of sun damage the hands have, a second visit may be required.

The VI Peel will improve the tone, texture and clarity of the skin; reduce or eliminate age spots, freckles, and hyper-pigmentation, including melasma; soften lines and wrinkles; clear acne skin conditions; reduce or eliminate acne scars; and stimulate the production of collagen, for firmer, more youthful skin.
